Steak + Hummus Pita Wraps

Steak + Hummus Pita Wraps

Ingredients:

  • 2 large pieces of steak- I used two NY Strips

  • 1 block of Grass Fed Cheese

  • Roasted Peppers

  • Caramelized Onions

  • Garlic Hummus from the farmers market. Avoid hummus with seeds oils at the store, I like the brand Ithaca. Another option, go to a Lebanese restaurant near you and see if they make their hummus with olive oil. This option will taste better than any grocery store kind.

  • Fresh Pita Bread from the farmers market. Always read the ingredients if you are purchasing from the grocery store to find the cleanest option available to you.

Directions:

  • Prep the steak. I just salt the steaks on both sides and then place on the grill. Cook the steak how you like it- either medium, medium rare. etc. Once the steak is finished cooking, slice into thin pieces. Set aside.

  • Slice the cheese using a cheese slicer so it’s thin for the wraps. Set aside.

  • Assemble the wraps. These wraps were large so I cut in half to make two out of one. Spread a thin layer of hummus inside the wrap. Add steak, cheese, peppers, and onions.

  • In a large skillet, over medium heat, spray olive oil. Cook each wrap for 2-3 minutes on each side.

  • Serve on a platter and enjoy!
